Shona Simon – President of Employment Tribunals (Scotland)
Shona, a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (MA(Hons), LL.B (with distinction), was a partner in the employment law specialist firm, Mackay Simon. In that capacity she gained experience of acting for both employees and employers. When in practice she also acted as Equal Opportunities Development Adviser to the Scottish Parliament. She has written and lectured extensively on employment law topics and is currently joint update editor of Leslie's "Employment Tribunal Practice in Scotland".
She was appointed as an Employment Judge in January 2001, becoming Vice President in 2004 and President in October 2009.
