Public sector settlement model May 2003
At the case management conference on 31st March 2003, HM Treasury and six public sector trade unions agreed that the tribunal could publish the agreed settlement model, as it was recognised that this facility may assist other parties.
Please note that the link below, which were written by HM Treasury, will take you to HM Treasury published documents. There is no obligation for any organisation to follow this model.
Please also note that it is not possible for the tribunal to answer any queries that any parties may have about this settlement model or the calculations used. This model was negotiated privately, and thus the tribunal has no additional information aside from what appears on the website.
The model is published in four parts:
- 1.Calculation of backdated employee contributions:
- factors underlying the settlement model
- system for calculating contributions
- scheme flexibility
- GAD certification
- 2. Annex 1 : Model for calculating backdated contributions for part-timers:
You can also download this calculation sheet to your computer by clicking your secondary mouse button (this is usually the right hand button for right-handed mouse users), selecting Save As... and then saving the document to your computer. - 3. Annex 3: GAD calculation criteria
